FloodFireCheck is run by Swift Agent Sites. This page says what happens to what you type into it. Last updated October 29, 2026.
Reading the site
The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. We count which pages are read with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sees your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, as any host does.
Checking an address
When you check an address, it is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder to find the point on the map, and, only if the Census Bureau cannot place it, to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim. The point (not your name, and nothing else about you) is then sent to the public map services that answer each question: FEMA flood maps (through Esri's Living Atlas or Miami-Dade County's copy), the county's evacuation zone map where there is one, CAL FIRE or the USDA Forest Service for fire hazard, the city's zoning map, and the U.S. Geological Survey for elevation.
We keep no log of the addresses people check. The finished answer is cached on Cloudflare's servers for one day, keyed by the address, so the same check does not ask the map services again; after a day it is gone. The Listing Check browser extension's flood panel works the same way. To keep the free map services usable, the number of checks one visitor can run in a minute is limited; that count is kept by Cloudflare for a minute, not by us.
Asking for an insurance quote
If you fill in the quote form, we keep what you sent (your name, email, phone if you gave it, the address or ZIP code, what you want a quote for, the page you came from) with the exact consent wording you agreed to and the time. It is kept in Swift Agent Sites' own system and inbox, and we pass it to one licensed insurance agent who serves the area. You are not added to any mailing list and we do not use it for advertising. We keep it until you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it. Email is delivered by Resend.
Sponsoring a page
Sponsor payments are taken by Stripe on its own pages; we never see your card number. We receive the payment confirmation, your business name and contact details, and the page you sponsored.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. The services above (Cloudflare, the U.S. Census Bureau, OpenStreetMap, the map services, Resend, Stripe) handle it only to do their part.
